This painting is a vivid, surreal vision of creation — a futuristic cityscape unfolding beneath a dramatic, stormy purple sky. The architecture rises like a dream in motion: blocks and towers of gleaming geometry, both grounded and abstract, as if designed in real time by a higher mind.
At the heart of the composition is an electric, glowing line — fluid and intentional — weaving through the city like a current of thought or consciousness. It zips across the buildings, illuminating their rooftops with a fiery orange-red glow, like synapses firing across an imagined neural grid. This energy isn’t random — it feels guided, alive.
On the far left, partially concealed within the cool haze of blues and whites, is a ghostly face — ancient and primal. With deep-set eyes and softened features, this figure appears almost like a spirit or ancestor emerging from the mist. From the center of his forehead — his third eye — bursts the glowing line itself, suggesting that this entire cityscape is not just built, but imagined… dreamt into being. He is the architect of this realm — part seer, part builder, part divine conduit.
There’s a balance of chaos and intention here — the storm above, the flowing energy, the shifting lines between organic thought and structured form. The painting feels like a meditation on manifestation, vision, and the power of mind to shape reality.

Statement From Michael

I painted most of this piece live in front of a shop called “Fuzion Glass” on lower State Street in Santa Barbara, California. At the time, I had a full art exhibit up inside the shop, and setting up right at the front door to paint this on the sidewalk felt like the perfect way to share the energy of it all — to bring people in and let them see the process unfold. It was raw and alive, just like the painting.
I lived in Santa Barbara for a couple of years with a lifelong friend, and those years were big for me — I met some incredible people, including one of my all-time favorite humans, Bethany. The art scene there, the people, the vibe… it all helped shape me. Santa Barbara ended up being one of the major catalysts in my art career, and this piece feels like a timestamp from that chapter — a mix of creation, connection, and momentum… a meditation on manifestation, vision, and the power of mind to shape reality.
