This painting captures the surreal moment of unexpected creation, where a luminous blue figure discovers a hidden power flowing through her hands. Almost in surprise, she conjures both piano keys and swarms of otherworldly bees, each bound to her by ribbons of violet energy. The keys arc like sound given form, while the bees surge forward with a strange, spined vitality, all against a storm-lit, swirling sky. Droplets of glowing essence drift through the scene, heightening the sense of mystery. More than an act of control, the piece reflects the awe of realizing an inner force she never knew she carried—where music, nature, and spirit burst into life in one dreamlike flow.

I painted this piece live on stage with the hip hop group “Hieroglyphics” at an unforgettable event outside the Wellness Center Dispensary in South Lake Tahoe. At one point I turned around and the sheer number of people watching was wild—-thousands in the crowd. I’ve painted in front of crowds before but this time, a wave of nervousness hit me, and I quickly turned back and just kept painting, letting the energy of the music and the moment guide my hands. That energy poured directly into the work, sparking something raw and unplanned. This painting speaks to the inner force and light we all carry within us, often without realizing it. It reflects that moment of awe when hidden power rises to the surface and creation flows through us in ways we never knew we were capable of.
