“Art is personal. Here’s my perspective if you want it.”
A surreal, black and white bumblebee drifts through a cool, misty sky. Its translucent amber wings glow against the blue background, while huge turquoise-blue compound eyes shimmer with a grid like pattern. Sprouting from the bee’s back is a tiny, enchanted forest of mushrooms—lemon yellow, sea-green, indigo, and russet—beaded with dew. A striped caterpillar lounges atop a violet cap, and coral-red shelf fungi cluster near the abdomen. Textured brushwork and glossy highlights give the forms a wet, living sheen. The piece feels playful and otherworldly—part pollinator, part portable ecosystem—celebrating the strange harmony between bees, fungi, and imagination.
